Access Control

Access control is the process of controlling and managing access to a system or network, typically through the use of user authentication, authorization, and permissions.

Access control refers to the process of controlling and managing access to IoT devices, networks, and data. This includes user authentication, which verifies the identity of a user or device requesting access to an IoT system or network. Authorization is another key aspect of IoT access control, which determines what specific resources or data the user or device is permitted to access. This is typically done through role-based access control (RBAC) or attribute-based access control (ABAC) mechanisms.Access control also involves the use of permissions and policies to ensure that access is granted in accordance with predefined rules and guidelines. This can include restricting access to certain data or functions based on user roles, or implementing device-level access control measures to prevent unauthorized devices from accessing the network or data.
