Confidentiality

Confidentiality is the protection of sensitive information from unauthorized access or disclosure.

Confidentiality is a critical aspect of cybersecurity, and is often achieved through the use of encryption, access controls, and other security measures. In the context of IoT, confidentiality refers to the protection of sensitive data that is transmitted or stored by IoT devices, networks, and systems. This data could include personally identifiable information, financial data, or confidential business information. To ensure confidentiality in IoT, various security measures can be implemented such as encryption of data in transit and at rest, access control mechanisms, secure communication protocols, and secure storage of data. These measures can help prevent unauthorized access or disclosure of sensitive data, protecting the privacy of users and organizations using IoT devices and systems.
